Nadeen Daka
Hey everyone, my name is Nadeen — and I'm a first-year biotechnology student who is eager to become your next Vice President for biochemistry society!
If elected, I would be committed to organising events that bring us all together and help us make the most out of our degree.
What are my goals?
- Picture this: tailored career fairs exclusively for biochemistry and biotechnology. By inviting various companies and industries in our field to meet us, we're more likely to find our passions, and maybe even land a dream internship or research opportunity!
- To host exciting and new guest speakers. I’m talking about bringing in the big guns — top-notch researchers, professors, CEOs, and maybe even a celebrity biochemist (if that’s a thing).
- To continue the mentoring scheme between different year groups, and create more opportunities for us to connect and help each other out.
- And finally, why settle for local connections? I’m all for creating more shared events with other universities, giving you the opportunity to branch out and network with biochemists/biotechnologists from all over London!
So, why me?
As an enthusiastic student and proud Palestinian, I’m all about bringing diversity and change to the table. I’m here to ensure everyone’s needs are heard and that we make the time we have here count. I'm approachable, dedicated, and determined.
...and don’t worry, I’ll make sure that any new biochemsoc hoodies we create next year use the old (better) Imperial logo :)
