Chemistry: Vice President

Hi, I'm Manomay and I'm a 2nd year chemist. You can usually find me sharing funny stories (hopefully) in the Chem Café, fighting MestReNova in the PC room, or trying to get hold of the last drop of acetone in Perkin.

As your Vice President, I will work closely with your President and the whole Committee to:

keep up the schedule of events, be they social, careers-related or academic
make Christmas Dinner 2024 the best yet
collaborate with the Department, other societies, industry partners and RCSU

I've had conversations with many people, as a Chem Parent, a peer and a friend. Our unique life experiences are what make this community so special, but also the reassurance that we are in this together. As your Vice President, I pledge above all to keep my door open for anyone and everyone, to ensure every single one of you can feel at home.

From my time as a Vice-Captain in sixth form (oh the happy days, when we had just five mechanisms to learn), and being on a society committee outside Imperial, I can fairly safely say I have been there and done that. From the red tape, to the teamwork, to the honest conversations, I know how to work with people, how to lead and represent.

I hope you can place your faith in me as your Vice President, so that I can give current and future generations of Imperial chemists everything I have been lucky to have, and more.
