Marianne Peuch
Hi,
I’m Marianne and I’m a first year. When not doing chemistry, you can find me reading, painting, playing electric guitar, badminton or chatting with people! ChemSoc has been amazing right from the start for my friends and I, and I would like to be Vice President to provide all chemistry students with the same great experience. Although relatively new here, I feel well settled and am really keen to work as a team within the committee.
This year, I have engaged in my Hall’s committee, gathering and voicing views from residents and being involved in finance decisions so that there is something for everyone. This has developed my organisation and communications skills. I also edited a STEM magazine in school, which required planning and coordination with many authors and teachers. I am an approachable person: I am always happy to talk to you (you might have to look down - I’m short, although I measure quite a few Ångströms…).
I would enjoy being VP; it would allow me to work with committee members on the various activities that make ChemSoc an amazing society. I will ensure everyone feels included. Exciting talks accessible to all years will be organised. I will also make sure the year is packed with fun events, like the famous Christmas Dinner. I will also support the parents’ scheme so that everyone has someone to speak to.
In short, I will mobilise my skills and enthusiasm so that ChemSoc delivers for you on all aspects!
Marianne :)
