Hari Prabhu
Hello everyone! I’m Hari, a second year medic running for SORA Secretary.
I believe I am well suited to the role, having developed my communication, teamworking and management skills in my role as deputy BMA rep this year. I also took part in the Young Enterprise scheme, where I developed my leadership skills and led my team to win best Journey Award at the South London finals. These roles, in addition to being an ICHack volunteer, have given me fantastic experience in event organisation and planning.
I’ve always been interested in academia and research, being one of the key reasons I chose to study medicine. Attending many conferences such as the oncology and SORA conference further developed my interest in research, and my passion to contribute to the exciting new advancements in medicine such as STEM cell and biologics research.
I would love to foster a strong learning and collaborative environment both within and out of the society. I strongly believe in giving my all to any responsibilities that I have, and being secretary for SORA is no different. In my role as Secretary, I would ensure I maintain and nurture good relationships between SORA and other lecturers, universities and the Imperial Union to ensure everything runs smoothly. I would ensure I am always organised and on top of everything, to keep pushing the boundaries of what we can do as a society with regards to event planning.
Thank you very much for your support!
