Sruthi Vatsavayi
Hi everyone, my name is Sruthi (4th year medic) and I would love to be Vice Chair for GP Society next year.
Over the past few years, I feel priveleged to have had the opportunity to participate in many of the fantastic events this society has put on - ranging from helpful OSCE tutorials to conferences which have helped broaden my understanding of the speciality. Through these events and my experiences on placements in general practice, I have developed a strong interest in general practice as a speciality.
Having held the roles of IDSoc Chair and IDSoc Early Years Officer in the past, I believe I have been able to develop the organisational, teamwork and leadership skills required for the role of Vice Chair for GP Society.
I would love to work with other members of the committee next year to support the growth of this society! My goals for the next year would include:
- To continue and expand on educational series such as OSCE and PACES teaching
- To expand on academic support through updating the existing notebank and release of weekly SBAs
- To continue the annual GP Society conference, expanding this to include interactive workshops
- To introduce more social events to enrich the student experience and encourage collaborative learning
Thank you!
