Ananya Sachdev

I am very passionate about reproductive and women's health. I am deeply interested in raising awareness about global reproductive health issues and the lack of funding and research into women's health. I would love to be a part of Obs & Gynae Soc to do my part in making a difference.

During my experience as a Social Media and Marketing Officer for both ICSM Charity Fashion Show and Hindu Society, I have honed the skills necessary to represent the society online. I would like to use this platform to raise more awareness about ongoing issues and make medical students excited about getting involved in O&G. To achieve this, I will:

1. Use the Instagram platform and my Canva and Photoshop skills to promote events, share information about the specialty, and engage members.
2. Explore other platforms like TikTok for interactive content.
3. Explore collaborations with other societies (paediatrics)/ universities to reach a wider audience.

Having closely interacted with the specialty from a young age with my own health struggles, I am very passionate about this field of medicine and want to use my empathy to shed light on regions where women's healthcare and rights are compromised.

Through my lectures and the Obs & Gynae conference, I have become more excited about a career in O&G since coming to Imperial, and I would love to work with other people who share my passion. I want to work to make the society bigger, with more events, interactive sessions, workshops, and collaborations with healthcare professionals!
