Yirou Zhang

Hello! My name is Lucky, a 4^th year medical student doing a Bsc in Anaesthesia and Critical care. My interest in the specialty was kindled first during our third-year rotation, but it was only through attending the John Vogel lecture series that truly deepened my perspective through his simple analogies. By becoming the critical care committee lead, I wish to extend the reach of this lecture series to the younger years as I know how useful it is based on personal experience. I have experience in organising the Imperial Plastic Society conference, ‘Emergencies in Plastics’, as co-lead, where we helped to raise money for Medicins sans Frontieres while introducing the military perspective of plastic surgeons, with speakers currently working in the Gaza strip. I wish to use my expertise for a specialty that I deeply care about and work with the team to provide insights to the younger years.
