Dinil Wanni Arachchige

My name is Dinil, and I am one of the Sector Heads at QT Capital. Since joining ICU Investment Society I have thoroughly enjoyed attending the various events, workshops, and competitions. I have already aimed to contribute to this success by organising an M&A workshop later this month and participating in the stock pitch competitions held this year.

Consequently, as Head of Events and Marketing at ICU Investment Society I would like to build upon and strengthen our brand, events and education through the following:

1. Strategic Firm Engagements: Name dropping in cover letters has become crucial in catching the attention of recruitment teams. Therefore, I will utilise my connections from firms like Blackstone and J.P. Morgan to host events, providing our members with industry unique insights.
2. Merch & Sponsorships: Requests for merch including a quarter zip and a half zip fleece will be sold. Furthermore, collaborating closely with the buy-side and sell-side relationship teams, I am dedicated to securing more gold and silver sponsors.
3. Interview Prep and Financial Literacy: Recognisng the technical rigor of finance interviews these days, I plan to organise specialised sessions to equip our members with the necessary knowledge and confidence to excel.
4. Alumni Network: I will create a structured alumni engagement program that leverages our accomplished alumni network to provide mentorship, internships, and employment opportunities, thereby facilitating continuous professional growth for our members.

Through these initiatives, our society will provide a platform for development, industry engagement and collaboration.
