Hi!

My name is Fatima and I’m a second-year biochemistry student. I’m from Lahore, Pakistan and have been actively involved with the South Asian society as the welfare officer for this year. This society has been an amazing platform to meet like-minded individuals, have a good time and foster a sense of community. I intend to do the same and go above and beyond to make sure this year brings the best events and collaborations to celebrate our rich and vibrant heritage and culture. By promoting inclusivity, diversity and most importantly unity, I aim to make this a very enriching experience.

I intend on doing so by:

• Coordinating with the president and the committee to organize engaging and culturally rich events
• Collaborating with other societies at imperial and other universities to provide different opportunities for members to connect with and form meaningful connections
• Working with sponsors and other members to provide unique and new opportunities to members
• Arranging networking and career guidance events with south Asian imperial alumni to allow members to explore different career opportunities as well as expand their network
• Developing a strong & supportive community within the society by organizing social events, meetups, and networking opportunities.
