Noah Collins
Hi, for those who haven't met me already, I'm Noah.
I've been weightlifting for almost four years now and have been part of Barbell for two of those. Barbell has been a fantastic community to be a part of and has kept me in the sport through thick and thin. I'm running for Vice President to give back to the society and make sure it remains a great enviroment to lift in.
As VP I plan to represent the weightlifting side of Barbell within the commitee. I'm also keen on encouraging more cross over between the Wednesday and Saturday sessions so that every session is full of PR's. Getting new lifters is key for the society, especially for weightlifting and powerlifting since they can be intimidating sports to start, but I am very passionate about encouraging everyone to get under a barbell. Weightlifting has a pretty tough learning curve, but I've thought a lot about how to get people through those first few months when you're struggling to snatch an empty bar. I'd make sure sessions are structured to keep people coming back!
Barbell is an amazing society right now, and I'd like to make sure it only gets better from here.
Thanks,
Noah
