Aimee Laisathit
As a bioengineer and a creative at heart, I am excited to run for Promotions Officer. I am committed to spreading the word about our Clinical Genetics society and the inspiring new developments within the field.
With my experience organising and managing social media and outreach content for clubs, I believe I can plan and implement new promotional strategies for the society, including being consistent and memorable with the updates we’ll post. I hope to reach new audiences as well as draw returning faces back for the various events we will hold, to help them garner positive attention and ensure they are well-attended — and therefore rich with opportunities for our members to build meaningful connections.
The execution is just as important as the planning; I promise to deliver visually appealing, eye-catching designs and concise writing, using my prior experience with various graphic design and digital artwork softwares and personal interest in art, literature and writing. I believe this will help establish a polished and strong brand image for our society, which will boost our credibility and reliability towards our current members, members-to-be, and of course, prospective academic speakers and potential sponsors.
I believe I can create the greatest impact as the Promotions Officer, but in addition to that, I'm hoping to bring my problem-solving and organisation skills to the table to aid other general committee operations. I would love to contribute to the success of Clinical Genetics this year too, and I look forward to working with you all!
