Carolina Moura Bento

Hi everyone! My name is Carolina, I am a BMB student and my goal is to become a biomedical scientist. I am fascinated by immunology and how our own body has its own army of little warriors, ready to protect us!

I am applying for the role of Conference Lead as I consider myself a good candidate and I would be able to help organising a successful and interesting event!

Currently, as vice-chair of the hall meetings from my halls of residence, I actively engage with several subcommittees and, as a team, we organise a wide range of hall events for over 300 residents. Also, I am currently organising an event with the SORA society and, for such, I have been contacting several amazing speakers. Before these roles, I had previously helped organise a variety of events, from socials to talks/academic meetings. All these programs had a budget I had to stick to, and this put into practice my organization and budgeting skills.

Therefore, I consider myself a great candidate for Conference Lead role as I feel that not only my experience and skills but also my enthusiasm would enable me to have a positive impact on the organization of these events. I would love to have the opportunity to actively engage with this committee and take on this new challenge. I will dedicate to this role all the attention it deserves and I will do my absolute best to help organise an amazing event!
