Hi All!
My name is Duru, and I am a second-year biochemistry student with a year in management. Passionate about VC and life-sciences infrastructure in emerging markets, I've been deeply engaged with our society and now eager to take on this new role to further our collective journey into the captivating world of venture capital and private equity.
Building on the fantastic groundwork laid by this year's committee, I am committed to continuing our society's growth and ensuring it remains a vibrant and inclusive community for all members. My focus will be on organizing events that cater to your needs and aspirations, whether it's through insightful talks, networking opportunities, or enriching masterclasses. Your input matters, and I'll make sure to gather feedback through regular surveys to tailor our activities to your preferences.
Thinking bigger, I envision our society not just as a campus entity but as part of a larger community. That's why I plan to forge connections with other London university societies, organizing inter-university social events where you can expand your network and connect with like-minded individuals from across the city. Moreover, I'm passionate about equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in these competitive industries. Through case study competitions, workshops, and leveraging our alumni network, I'll ensure you're well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
Drawing from my experience as Brand Ambassador for AstraZeneca, Secretary for Change Makers Club, and Treasurer of Opera Society and a wide-range of network, I'll take our society to the next level.
