Annabel Chi

Hi everyone! My name is Annabel and I am a first year Molecular Bioengineering student, hoping to be your Social Media and Outreach Officer for Imperial Marrow next year. Since discovering Imperial Marrow, I have grown an understanding of the impact and importance stem cell transplants on blood cancer patients in the UK. With Imperial Marrow being a relatively new society, I believe that it is integral to encourage students to engage, be involved and learn about the significance of stem cell research and donations. I would love to not only share this passion by being involved in growing this society, but also contribute to a larger cause to improve lives of patients as a whole.

My primary focus is on an engaging social media presence, which is how I discovered Marrow, and so that is what I believe is key in captivating a wider audience. Therefore, I will highlight our key events on instagram regularly and creatively, as well as around campus by making exciting posters to put up. I will also actively manage the Group Chat, notifying members about opportunities and making the society more accessible, especially for younger years and reaching out to new members to maintain interest and communication. All in all, I am confident that I can create content that promotes the work of the society and the charity and I would love to get more involved with the team by joining the committee.
