I am Josephine Lam and am currently pursuing an MEng in Civil Engineering course and thus, I bring a dynamic blend of technical proficiency and entrepreneurial spirit. My experience in a startup project supported by the Climate Entrepreneurs Club, where I pitched a sustainable dye solutions business in the fast-fashion industry, exemplifies my entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative approach. Furthermore, being the team leader and leading the team to produce presentation which ranked top 8 in the Mergers & Acquisition competition held by HSBC underscore my passion for financial analysis and strategy. As a summer intern at Jacobs Engineering Group Inc, I applied quality management systems, conducted structural stability assessments, and communicated with clients on various projects, showcasing my ability to manage multifaceted responsibilities and adapt to real-world challenges.
In addition to my technical background, I possess strong leadership and organizational skills demonstrated through roles as a Social Officer of the Imperial College London Public Awareness and Social Service Society and Vice External President of the Student Union. These experiences involved budget estimation, event promotion, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MATLAB, and Python, I offer a holistic understanding of the financial and technical aspects crucial for success in the venture capital and private equity domain.
