Hi, I’m Ugas and I am excited to run for Treasurer this year. I understand the importance of managing finances for the running of the society and I believe I have the skills needed to serve as Treasurer next year. As a maths student, my degree has provided me with analytical and numerical skills, which are essential for precise financial oversight to effectively manage our society’s finances.

As Treasurer, I aim to streamline our financial operations and ensure complete transparency and accountability in our transactions. My consistent involvement in investment society events has enhanced my financial acumen and the completion of online courses has improved my competency in Excel, both crucial for the management of our funds.

My experience managing payments for a tutor has also refined my ability to conduct accurate and efficient financial transactions and demonstrates my organisation skills and attention to detail. This role has prepared me to handle the society’s finances with diligence and integrity.

In collaboration with the Head of Events, I will oversee ticketing for major society events such as club nights, the MM Ball and the afterparty. My goal is to ensure these events are not only successful but also financially viable.

I am committed to maintaining the society’s financial health and ensuring our activities are supported by solid financial planning. My background and experiences align perfectly with the responsibilities of a Treasurer, and I am eager to contribute to our society’s success. Thank you.
