Sanjay Sankaranarayanan

I am excited to be running for the position of Treasurer at ICUCC. I believe I have the skills and experience required to make me a strong candidate for this role. The club has been an incredible success so far, but I still believe in its potential to grow and want to contribute towards its financial stability during this growth.

Through studying an Aeronautical Engineering course, I am used to juggling several different responsibilities at once, which would be essential as a Treasurer, financially managing several different ascpects of the club. The problem-solving and critical thinking skills I have applied to coursework assignments would be directly applicable towards managing finances. Furthermore, the several group activities I have done in regards to labs and projects, as well as work experience, have equipped me with the necessary teamwork skills to work along with the committee to ensure the the club runs smoothly. I see this role as an opportunity to apply all these skills outside of my academics and contribute to a club I am passionate about.

As Treasurer, I plan to implement effective budgeting and forecasting, as well as consistently making sure that all financial records, both outgoings and incomings, of the club are up to date. I will be working with the sponsorship secretary to build a strong relationship with sponsors and secure additional resources. By enhancing the financial growth of the club, and working alongside the rest of the committee, we can assure a brighter future for all members.
