Rojan Ragunathan

Vanakkam,

My name is Rojan and I am excited to be running for the position of Head of Sports next year. I am looking to improve the team even further and I believe I am a fit candidate for this.

With over 10 years of experience playing for a Tamil club winning numerous tournaments, I understand the importance of teamwork, discipline and perseverance in the world of sports.

In addition to my playing experience, I have also helped out with coaching the under-13s and under-15s, who have benefitted from my mentorship and encouragement. This has also given me the chance to improve both my leadership skills and my ability to inspire a team.

This year I attended all TSoc training sessions and tournaments, demonstrating my dedication and reliability to both sports and our TSoc. I even helped recruit players for our B team, strengthening our squad further.

My experience is not limited to a single sport as I also played cricket and basketball at school. Having played in many teams, I am well familiar with the logistics behind keeping a team organised.

Plans for next year:

• Continue providing weekly training sessions
• Organise more 7-a-side and 11-a-side friendlies against other unis and societies
• Enter a league
• Encourage more members to participate

Overall, I hope to build a powerful team dynamic that allows each member to develop both as an individual and as a team player, ensuring success whilst also having fun.
