Mahathi Varma

Hey everyone! I'm Mahathi, a second year medic. I would really love to be RAG's secretary this year. I know what a big impact RAG has on different charities that it collaborates with, and it's massive positive effect on the med school itself, which is why I'd love to be a part of RAG! So,here are my experiences which hopefully prove that I'd make a great RAG sec this year!

I set up my school’s medical society in year 12 from scratch. I created the timetables, lesson content, organised assemblies, arranged speakers and ran first aid courses for my year group and the society.

I also did the same whilst in Air Cadets, communicating with staff and cadets to make sure the cadets could get the best experiences.

I am part of in2medschool (and have worked with a previous RAG chair) so have made teaching content and gone in person to deliver sessions to aspiring med students. I also tutored the students out of in2medschool hours.

I'm also a creative person, and have some ideas for new RAG events eg. networking events with alumni/ doing joint events with IC RAG.

I hope that all of these experiences can show that I’m a good organiser and efficient worker, as well as someone who is proactive. I do think that I would make a good secretary for RAG, as I genuinely enjoy organising/ creating new events and working with other people, so I'd really appreciate you voting for me!
