Celine Shen
Hi, my name is Celine Shen, a second year Chemistry student. As someone building a career in finance with social media experience, I believe that I am a suitable candidate for the role of Head of Marketing.
I will be able to contribute to the society in the meaningful ways:
- Leveraging my network to contribute to society events:
During the 2023 academic year, the president of the Finance Society has already reached out to me with the goal of attracting more students interested in Finance. I was able to help the society through contacting members of the ICCSSA careers team and Consulting Soc to promote the events organized by the Finance Society to interested members. As I am now also the head of events for the Imperial Women in Business Society, I would be able to expand the presence of IC FinSoc further by planning future collabs.
Moreover, over the past term, I have been networking with professionals working in all sectors across the Finance industry as well as London based business school alumni, who are incredibly interested in sharing their experiences with Imperial students. I plan to further expand my network during my fixed-income research internship over the summer.
- Social media experience
Outside of my studies, I am a free-lance model and run social media accounts such as Xiaohongshu and Instagram to attract clients and casting invitations. I have gained plenty of insight into running successful social media accounts.
