Aadhavan Kathirgamarajah

Hi, I’m Aadhavan and I would be delighted to run for Sponsorship next year as I believe I have the skills and nature to find the right sponsors for MM. Helping out on Sponsorship Day and interacting with local Tamil shops to jewellery stores and acquiring them for MM has given me good experience and I can see what the following year needs for the best sponsors.

Being in subcom gave me insight into working as a team, hosting the right events, and helping out with MM. This experience helped me understand the importance of having the right people on board and increasing the reach of an event like MM is something I believe I can help with, growing it to larger audiences. Running events like MM requires the right collaborations, and I see working with new businesses as a potential pathway for the event's growth.

I also have hands-on experience working with charities like Wings of Hope, where I lead a team of six and raised over £2k to help children in India and Malawi receive an education. This journey taught me many skills, especially communicating with a large audience and being able to sell something.

Another key reason I want this role is to help involve our society and others, bringing awareness and better understanding of our Tamil history, which I am passionate about exploring. It would be a pleasure to be part of the committee showcasing our Tamil identity.
