Devni Peramunugamage

My name is Devni and I am running for drama social sec with Joseph! The people I’ve met through drama and the memories we’ve all made have been a massive part of my uni experience, and it'd be my honour to take on the role of social sec to help keep making drama events happen, so more people can have the experiences I did! As well as all our regular big events, me and joseph would love to run more casual socials regularly throughout the year too - we've learnt how important oversharing over some chickenshop in someone's living room can be for bonding : ) My experience running over 50 events as IQ president, and my other past committee experiences as IQ QPOC officer, Union LGBTQ+ Officer, Medics Drama Director, Medical Humanities treasurer have all really helped me understand all the ins and outs of running events though Imperial – organising venues, risk assessments, budgets, advertising, working with the whole committee, dealing with the union. I understand it’s a tough role to take on, especially in my final year, but I’ve given it a lot of thought and genuinely believe, that with my past event-running experience and Joseph on my team, we have the collective skills to efficiently make Drama Social events happen, and we can’t wait to see what next year will bring for the Drama fami-… cul-… society!🥰
