Hello, I am Quynh, first year BMB student and I stand as a candidate for Secretary. I am committed to leveraging my organizational skills, attention to detail, and passion for pharmacology to enhance our society.
As a secretary I will:
- Schedule and manage committee meetings, prepare agendas.
- Serve as the primary contact for committee members, ensuring seamless internal and external communication.
- Create a network of alumni who can provide guidance, internships, and job opportunities for current members.
- Maintain detailed records of all society activities and prepare reports on our achievements.
- Work closely with other committee members to plan and organize events, including workshops, seminars, social gatherings, and conferences by ensuring all logistical aspects are covered, such as booking venues and arranging speakers.
- Suggest and introduce new event formats to provide opportunities for hands-on learning and networking:
- Interactive Q&A sessions with industry experts and interdisciplinary collaboration events with other scientific societies.
- Mini-conferences where students can present their research, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Host workshops focusing on CV writing, interview preparation, and career opportunities in pharmacology.
- Develop outreach programs to educate the public on the importance of pharmacology and safe medication practices.
