RAG (ICSM): Publicity Officer

Hello! My name is Amelia, a current third year, and I would love to be RAG Publicity Officer next year.

I believe I would be a good candidate for this role because I really enjoy creating engaging social media content to promote societies. Through my roles as ICSM Netball Social Secretary last year and as Secretary this year, I have had the responsibility of posting on the Instagram. These posts included weekly sports night posters and match result posts, as well as posting on the Instagram stories at events such as Fresher’s Week and at sports nights.

I would love to be able to transform the RAG Instagram feed so that there is a clear theme and structure, making it easy for followers to navigate. I would do this by:

Having a set colour scheme for the Instagram.
Posting 3 posts per event so that each event has a dedicated row on the feed.
Writing creative, engaging and informative captions for each post.
Creating highlight reels for events, RAG week, Tiktoks, promotions and collaborations.

Another thing that I would love to do with the RAG social media, in my role as Publicity Officer is to get a RAG Tiktok account to truly take off. I am definitely someone who is up-to-date with Tiktok trends and would utilise the current trends to increase engagement with the account. I would then promote the Tiktoks through the RAG Instagram by sharing to stories.
