David Son

Hi, I'm David, and I am excited to run for Committee Member in Management Society. My diverse experiences across various roles have equipped me with the skills and insights to contribute effectively to our society’s growth and success.

Background and Experience:

1. Medical School Liaison for Imperial VISION: Academic non-profit aimed at improving access to medical school for underprivileged students.

2. Secretary of AMSA (Asian Medical Students Association): Organising and running mock CPAs and OSCEs honed my organisational skills and understanding of academic support.

3. Social Secretary of KUMAS (Korean UK Medical Association): I liaise with Korean doctors and medical students across the UK to arrange social events, promoting networking and collaboration.

4. Media Officer for Surgical Society: Managing social media and curating posts for a major academic society, I have experience in engaging with a wide audience.

5. President of ICSM Golf Society: Overseeing running of society, managing social events, and liaising with alumni and students sharpened my leadership and event management skills.

I aim to leverage my experience to:

1. Organise targeted workshops and networking events, drawing on my experience with VISION Society and KUMAS.
2. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, building on my roles in AMSA and KUMAS.
3. Utilise my media management skills to increase member engagement and participation in events.

Having spent the past year studying Business Management at Imperial College, I have developed a deep appreciation for our community. I believe I can help create a dynamic, supportive, and professionally enriching environment for all members.
