Lowri Morris

Hi,

My name is Lowri and I’m a first year medical student studying here at Imperial. During my time here, I have noticed a variety of issues that seem to disproportionally affect female students here, both from lived and heard experience.

My aim for FemSoc in the next academic year is to campaign to bring awareness and change affecting women, both inside and out of Imperial, as well as providing an opportunity for people to bond with fellow like-minded people.

I have begun work to collaborate with a myriad of London-based campaigns and charities aimed at supporting women and girls, including Catcalls of London, Fumble, The Survivors Trust, EVAW, and many more. I’m also aiming to collaborate with Felix, bringing a special centerfold in their paper to target specific issues of sexual misconduct faced by students of Imperial.

As someone who has been affected by these issues, I feel it imperative that we bring them to light, which is why I’m so passionate about leading this society for the next academic year.
