Banusha Kugabalan

Hello everyone!

My name is Banusha, and I would like to be your Pint of Science Society Chair for 2024-2025!

I think I would be a great fit for this role due to my experience with Pint of Science in the past 2 years. I have been an event manager for PoS event, where we had a total of 10 speakers bring their research to the public in an engaging and fun way. In my second year with Pint of Science I became a coordinator for Imperial’s Pint of Science Teams, which has been an exciting and rewarding experience. I believe its very important to create dialogue between the general public and people working in the research sector in an informal environment. I want to continue my involvemnt with the society as Chair of Pint of Science Society.

I have previous experience from being the Secretary and Captain of the Glasgow University Boxing Club, where we had over 150 members in the club. From this experience I have gained great leadership, delegation, and communication skills, which I will employ as Chair of the Pint of Science Society.
