Dorsa Daleri
Hello!
I’m Dorsa and I've been part of Dance Club for over a year now. It’s been a joy dancing alongside many of you in our salsa and bachata classes and a privilege to be part of the open-level team. Dance has truly been at the heart of my university experience, shaping not only my interests but also defining a fundamental aspect of who I am today. This passion is what fuels my eagerness to extend my contributions within our society as Vice Captain.
I understand joining a team can feel daunting, so as your Vice Captain, my foremost commitment is creating a welcoming and supportive environment. I'll plan socials to strengthen team dynamics helping to ensure rehearsals are a judgement- free space where everyone can develop their dancing skills.
Your well-being is my priority, and I'm committed to ensuring that you feel empowered to express your thoughts and feedback openly. I'll encourage the use of polls/forms, ensuring that your voices are heard and your preferences considered, from choreography choices to costumes.
The valuable experience that I have gained from being part of the RAG committee directly aligns with the responsibilities of vice captain. I've developed my organisational and leadership skills by coordinating meetings, recruiting volunteers, and overseeing educational sessions for +150 students. This has prepared me to ensure smooth event planning for competitions and performances!
As captain, I'm here to advocate for you. Let's make this upcoming year in Dance Club unforgettable, filled with growth, connection, and outstanding performances!
