Dear Members,

My reason for applying as sponsorship officer:

• Have experience working with sponsors to get donations which were sold to raise £14,500 for maternal aid associations whilst working alongside BSOC. This gave me a great experience of understanding how to effectively communicate and convince sponsors through making it easy for them to contribute and showing them the effect of their contribution in order to retain them.

• Gain invaluable skills and get given the opportunity to work alongside more experienced students to get hands on experience on how to deliver an effective conference

• I want to ensure we get the funding and resources we deserve. Attending the reconstructive stereotype conference this year, I found it to be very well organised, and in particular enjoyed the workshops which gave me an insight of the diverse range of problems a plastic surgeon faces. This event was made possible due to great sponsors and I want to learn from the previous sponsorship officers, reach out to our entrusted sponsors and perhaps new sponsors to further grow the plastic surgery society.
