Hi everyone! I am excited to apply for the position of Academic Officer for the Infectious Disease Society. As a first-year Medical Biosciences student deeply interested in infectious diseases and global health, I am passionate about supporting my peers in their academic journey and raising awareness about this critical field.

Key Objectives

• Resources: I plan to put together useful resources, including revision material and extended reading relevant to medicine, medical biosciences and life sciences students.
• Small-Group Tutorials: I plan to organise regular small-group tutorials led by knowledgeable peers and experts in the field. These sessions will offer personalised support, clarify complex topics, and prepare students for exams effectively.
• Academic Workshops and Talks: I plan to arrange workshops and guest lectures featuring experts in global health and infectious diseases. These events will provide members with insights into current research, career opportunities, and developments in the field.
