Tabletop Gaming: Head of RPGs
Hi, I'm Mercury (they/them) - I am just at the end of my second year undergrad, and TTRPGs are a very welcome break from the stress of studying engineering at Imperial. I have been playing D&D 5e for 6 years now, and have been DMing for almost 2 of those. In that time I have also dabbled in a few other TTRPG systems, including Pathfinder. I am also a self-proclaimed Dice GoblinTM, limited only by my way-too-small student loan and the fact that I now need another dice case to carry any more dice I get.
If I am elected to be Head of RPGs, I will:
- Organise a group meet up at the start of the year as well as halfway through the year, giving all new and returning players a chance to form a party who all wish to play the same system
- More rulebooks for extended D&D 5e rules, as well as base rulebooks for other systems such as pathfinder and call of cthulu
- Create an online resource bank, including free PDFs of open source one-shots, campaigns, and character sheets, as well as helpful websites for rules guidance and other resources for DMs
- Have a small stock of spare dice for when your players forget theirs, despite that being basically all you need 🙄
- Run workshops for people interested in DMing, to give people more confidence when starting to DM, hopefully fixing the problem of the "forever DM"
