I'm Baargavi Kulenthrarajah, and I’m thrilled to join the best society at Imperial as your Head of Culture. Our vibrant heritage and rich traditions deserve to be celebrated and cherished. As someone deeply rooted in Tamil heritage, I am excited to bring my passion and dedication to this role.

Hosting fairs and cultural events to celebrate festivals, such as Thai Pongal, Navarathiri and Tamil New Year is essential. I am committed to using my organizational skills to bring vibrant celebrations filled with music, dance and traditional games that beautifully showcase our heritage and create unforgettable experiences.

Honoring those who fought for us is equally important. I have always attended the Maaveerar Naal memorial at Excel and recently participated in a 200-person Bharatanatyam tribute at Trafalgar Square for Mullivaikal, organized by the British Tamil Forum (BTF). Organizing remembrance days for these events will be a priority for me to spread awareness and honor our heroes.

Additionally, with over ten years of experience at Tamil School studying Saiva Samaiyam, I have gained a deep appreciation for our culture. I aim to share this knowledge and help others connect with our traditions.

My active involvement in charity organizations like Think2wice and Udhavum Karangal helps me collaborate effectively with external organizations like TYO and TSI for workshops, exhibitions, and talks, broadening our cultural understanding.
