Dorsa Daleri
Hello!
I'm Dorsa, and I would love to be your next LMAP Education Officer. With a longstanding interest in health coaching and a passion for helping people improve their daily lives, I have thoroughly enjoyed LMAP over the past two years. Now, I am eager to share my enthusiasm with others by broadening my contributions to the society.
As an active member of the RAG committee this year, I’ve gained valuable experience that directly aligns with the responsibilities of this role. Launching “Own It,” a public health initiative in collaboration with St Mary’s Hospital, has developed my organisational and leadership skills by coordinating meetings, developing session plans, recruiting volunteers, and overseeing educational sessions for +150 students. This experience has prepared me to engage effectively with committee, volunteers and students as LMAP Education Officer.
My aims:
- Develop a series of informative tutorials covering key LMAP content from the first and second years, based on direct student feedback. This involves using feedback forms to gather student input and actively listen to their needs, helping us to refine our tutorials for the best outcomes
- Establish a comprehensive event timeline and create an event allocation spreadsheet to ensure sufficient volunteer coverage and accommodate everyone's schedules, making tutorial attendance convenient for all
- Implement a buddy mentoring scheme to pair students with mentors for personalised teaching, enhancing their understanding of the LMAP content
- Collaborating with other societies to broaden our reach and impact
Thank you for reading my manifesto! ❤️💙💛
