Izabela Jaszcz
Hi! My name is Izabela, and I'm a 4th-year medical student. This year, I completed my intercalated Global Health BSc, which broadened my understanding of global health challenges and strengthened my commitment to advocating for children's welfare.
While president of Imperial’s Dance Club (with 250+ members), I honed my interpersonal skills by communicating with a range of groups - from instructors to bus companies. These experiences have prepared me to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders to organize successful events. Additionally, we organized a dance competition in London, which developed my problem-solving abilities and my capacity to manage complex logistics—both essential skills for an events officer.
I was also treasurer for ICSM’s Halfway Dinner, which had 370 attendees. This role gave me a solid understanding of budgeting for large-scale events, proficiency with eActivities, and familiarity with union processes. Moreover, my volunteer work at Imperial, such as preparing students for medical school interviews, has strengthened my commitment to community service. I am eager to bring my passion for global health, leadership experience, and dedication to volunteering to the role of UNICEF's Events Officer.
