Le Quynh Mai Nguyen
Starting university is always filled with excitements, however as stepping into our next chapter of our life, it is sometimes hard to adapt to the new environment.
Hello, my name is Quynh and I am dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and academically enriching environment for all the new first-year students next year. My mission is to ensure seamless communication between our year group and the committee, promote academic and professional growth, and create a supportive community that encourages engagement and collaboration.
For me, fostering a supportive community is top priority therefore I plan to provide a robust academic support by coordinating tutorials and study groups to help students excel their ICAs and exams. This will be achieved through the development of a strong understanding of fundamental concepts. My goal is to ensure that every student feels supported in their academic pursuits and has access to the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
As Year 1 Lead, I will organize diverse events, including social gatherings, academic tutorials, career talks, conferences, and workshops. By collaborating with the committee and other year leads, I aim to create opportunities for students to learn, and explore various aspects of biomedicine, while career development workshops and talks featuring professionals and alumni will offer insights into various career paths and networking opportunities. Addtionally, I will organize skill-building workshops on research techniques, laboratory skills, and scientific writing. Promoting attendance at biomedicine conferences and symposia will provide opportunities to present research and learn from experts.
