Aoife Madden

Hi everyone, I'm Aoife and I'm running to be academic rep for this year!

Having worked on the SU for two years and on various clubs and societies committees, I would love to use what I've learnt to improve our final year experience. I want to continue being as communicative and responsive as the reps have been this year and advocate for the wants of our year group during SSLGs.

My experience as the MedEd teaching academy co-lead and Meeting of the Minds Conference Secretary has given me an insight into academics. Working as STFYD chair, Light Opera President and on the SU has given me the opportunity to liaise with faculty and advocate for student representation in events and communications.

There are lots of uncertain aspects of final year, especially with the new Foundation Programme, so organisation, clear communication and approachability are important to ensure we have the right information!
