Hi, I'm Zhongjing (April)! I am very excited to be a candidate for the Year Two Academic Representative of Bioengineering. I'm willing and will try my best to ensure our voices of the academic community are heard, listened to and acted upon.

My goal is to create a supportive academic environment for all of us, which includes:

• Efficient course timetable: Reasonable lecture time (especially at White City campus) and time intervals between lectures and study groups really improves the learning efficiency. I will promote better course schedule refering to many factors (e.g: school shuttle bus timetable, lecturers' office hours).
• Reading list system: Due to the different preferences of each lecturer, recommended textbooks may be introduced in different ways. I've seen many students asking the textbooks on ed board, so I want to improve the use of Reading List system, to help students get resources more quickly.
• Better feedback system: A good feedback channel can increase the willingness to give feedback. I want to promote the establishment of anonymous feedback channel (ed board or a new website etc.) to ensure the privacy of feedback, and allow students to speak out without scruples.

If I am elected, I will do my best to achieve these goals while doing my job well. At that time, the most important feedback is from you, my colleagues. Please feel free to raise your needs and dissatisfaction. I am looking forward to building a better bioengineering department together with you.
