I'm Chakshu, and with my experience as a private tutor, leadership successes in competitions, and experience in positions of responsibility in school, I feel that my ideas and merits are best applied for this role. I'll be improving academic integrity within the year, pushing for everyone to perform brilliantly in their finals and keeping the department 1st in the world.

The main responsibility as an academic representative is to gather feedback from students about what they are concerned about. This can include things such as not understanding a lecture or needing more practice questions to revise from, so I will be sure to talk to you / ask for feedback to understand any underlying issues you may have individually, or, more importantly, on a larger scale. I'll then raise these suggestions and comments with the lecturers and at the regular departmental student-staff committee meetings, and push for a more positive learning experience by working with the other reps too.

I will also (hopefully) be at every lecture, so feel free to come up and have a chat. More importantly, I'll make sure that the MechEng experience is fun for all of you, with events such as Secret Santa and various competitions which allow you to engage with your peers and friends socially, and compete academically.
