Tejas Iyer
Hello fellow Aeronautics postgraduates!
I’m Tejas Iyer, a passionate student and your classmate in the MSc Composite program, and I’m running for the position of MSc Composites Representative in the Autumn Elections 2024. With my background and commitment to advocating for student voices, I believe I can represent our cohort effectively and help us navigate this crucial year together.

Our program is intense, rigorous, and demanding—but it’s also an incredible opportunity for us to grow and have fun. As your representative, I aim to make sure we have the support, resources, and connections to not only thrive academically but also make our time here memorable and enjoyable.
A few things that I would like for us to achieve together this year:
- Enhancing Academic Support - interactive sessions, one-on-one tutoring, feedback liaison with the Department, and improved access to resources
- Stronger Alumni Connections - facilitate alumni talks, networking events, and workshops to help us connect with leaders and innovators
- Building a Vibrant Community - informal study groups or social events to strengthen the bonds within our cohort and across the Department
- Mental Well-being - our academic journey can be stressful, so I will advocate for increased mental health support; if you need some help, you can always reach up to me and we'll be able to sort things out
