Aeronautics (UG): Year One Wellbeing Representative

As your well-being rep, my job is to help you thrive at uni. University is an experience that will be full of mixed emotions, I have had to resit first year because of it and I have experienced all of the late-night study sessions and mental breakdowns that come with learning how to manage university. I truly believe in open conversations and would love to talk about anything and everything that you can think of. If you have concerns or have had a good day, I am more than happy to listen.

The benefits of the resit (believe me I have had to think about this very hard), is that I know who to speak to when things get rough or who to go to with concerns or criticisms. The support system at uni is intimidating at first and I can be the bridge that helps you go to where you need to, I will always help and I want to help when it gets harder. More than anything, I want to help build a sense of community within our year because university is rough on your own and I do not want anyone to be left out.

As Imperial students, it is easy to think that mental health does not matter much but even the smallest bits of self-care go a mile when your whole world is very fast-paced. I want to contribute to our quality of life at Imperial and make a meaningful impact.
