Mechanical Engineering (UG): Year One Wellbeing Representative

2 weeks and 2 days ago, the Imperial Mechanical Engineering faculty brought forth on this university a new class, conceived in the need for more funding for research, and dedicated to educating the next generation of consultants.

Now we are engaged in a great conundrum, testing whether that class or any class so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. How many lunches must be forsaken in the pursuit of knowledge? How can an ENGINEERING FAIR be scheduled such that there is barely any time for ENGINEERS to attend (I will not have my merch swiped by other courses)? This will not stand.

Our happiness is not an afterthought but an essential pillar of our success. From loosening our schedules or improving the frequency of the occasional free meal, steps taken to improve our wellbeing must be paramount within our course decision-making process. If being a cop has taught me anything, it's that a little kindness goes a long way. Be it giving water to a thirsty detainee or giving sandwiches out to hungry broke students, a little goodwill can boost morale and create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all of us.

I'm not quite remarkable, especially compared to the other fantastic candidates. I only promise to try my best to solve what problems come our way and to hear everyone out earnestly.
