Medicine (UG): BSc Wellbeing Representative

Hi! My name is Masroor Salam!

As your Wellbeing Representative, my goal is to ensure that every BSc student feels supported, connected, and valued throughout the year. I am committed to creating a positive environment where we can all thrive academically, socially, and personally. My vision revolves around three key pillars: Community, Communication, and Care.

1. Building a Strong Community:
I plan on organizing regular peer support sessions and wellbeing-focused events. These will include themed meet-ups, study groups, and even some yoga sessions! It will give us a chance to connect and share our experiences beyond academics.

2. Ensuring Transparent Communication:
I will implement monthly feedback sessions through anonymous forms to highlight any concerns, share suggestions, and discuss any challenges you might be facing at the moment and direct them to faculty. Your opinions are important and I will make sure they are conveyed to the faculty, fostering a transparent and supportive dialogue.

3. Prioritizing Mental Health and Wellbeing:
I will organize resources and mindfulness activities (yoga, coffee mornings) during peak academic periods, so we can maintain a healthy balance between studies and wellbeing. I will also advocate for increased access to mental health resources and support services tailored to our specific needs as BSc students.

As your representative, I will be a proactive and approachable advocate, ensuring your wellbeing remains a priority throughout the year. Let’s work together to create a supportive and enriching environment where we can all succeed!

Thank you!
