Dennis Jian

My name is Dennis Jian. I am excited and honoured to run for the position of Academic Representative for the first-year Business School students. If elected, I will ensure that the voices of our diverse student community are well represented and will support the communication and collaboration between the staff and our student community.

Having worked as a full-time gap year Development Assistant at a prestigious high school in the UK last year, I am familiar with the inner workings of an educational institution and am deeply passionate about improving the learning experience for students. In that role, I acted as a bridge between staff and students, implementing multiple programs to enrich the student learning experience and foster connections with the alumni community. I believe I can apply my transferable skills and work with dedication to contribute effectively as your Academic Representative.

As your future representative, I promise V-A-T, but not the 20% tax that we have to pay!

2. Accessibility: I will always be available to listen to you and improve my service to the community.
3. Transparency: I will keep you informed of any key decisions made by the Staff-Student Committee.
