Jia Wen Yeoh

Hey! I'm Haru (he/him), a 4th year student in the Medical Biosciences with Management Joint Honours programme. I began my transition after moving to London in 2021 and have observed the myriad of obstacles that most Trans+ students face in the process of obtaining adequate healthcare and networking. This has fuelled my drive to improve the student experiecne for Trans+ individuals at Imperial. I previously took on the role of Trans+ intersectional officer in IQ (Imperial's LGBTQ+ society) from 2022-2024, and was also the Trans+ Representative from 2023-2024. With a focus on streamlining administrative processes (e.g. changing one's name and pronouns) and disseminating relevant healthcare information for Trans+ individuals, I have had the opportunity to interact with many amazing people to gain a better perspective of pressing issues that threaten our wellbeing.
