Coco Yeung
Hi everyone, I’m Coco! I’m currently in my third year, and last year I I was on the AeroSoc committee as the alumni officer. My experience in AeroSoc previously and organising events for other student societies has inspired me to run for Social Executive this year.
In the next year, I hope to organise different social events so that students of different year groups will have a chance to get to know each other and we can build a stronger sense of community.
As a part of my campaign, I would like to propose the following events:
- After lecture drinks and food: While the Tuesday career talks are great, I think students need an opportunity to get to know each other outside of a networking setting
- Movie nights: Screening of aerospace related movies in lecture theatres (hopefully with AeroSoc catered food)
- Boat party (pictured): The boat party was a huge success last year and I hope to continue with that tradition with a moving boat party down the river Thames
- Fancy dinner: For those who get sea sick but still want an opportunity to dress up fancy
Most importantly, I would want to hear from you guys on what you want to see from AeroSoc. So, if there are any suggestions you may have, I would love to hear them!
