Rhys Manning Garrero

Hi my name's Rhys and I have been a member of neuro soc for the last couple of years of medical school, and have attended meeting of the minds and other neuro events in this time. I would like to run for the teaching coordinator position in the society to help broaden the teaching opportunities and resources that are offered to other students in the medical school, and at the same time broaden our membership. I can remember how complicated neurology seemed in the first few years of uni, and believe a neurology lecture series to help consolidate students' knowledge would help greatly in the neurological parts of exams. Having a strong knowledge in these topics, and doing the neuroscience iBsc I believe i would be well placed to design and coordinate a series like this. On top of this I would make my neuroanatomy anki cards open to students to help them with Head, neck and spine module of anatomy and host various academic events, for example poster competitions with other unis and societies. As I do not have too many other obligations outisde of uni I would have a significant amount of time to be an effective teaching coordinator. I believe I would be an asset to the society and would contribute significantly to its success, and hope you can give me your vote!
