Why I want to be involved

As a fresher last year I joined many societies in search of a new hobby and I can say that muffin compares to baking. Despite feeling nervous and having no prior experience, I took the whisk and rose to the challenge. It initially seemed like a recipe for disaster but in reality, it was a piece of cake. To me, baking sweet treats was like therapy, after all, “stressed” spelt backwards is desserts. Nothing feels grater than baking other people’s day better. That is why I want to showcase the joys of baking visually by being your publicity officer.

My Vision (“I Will...”)

• Create visually appealing posts that are engaging and inspiring to grow our community.
• Capture and promote the essence of our events whilst celebrating our members’ baking journey.
• Maintain an active and positive online presence to ensure all our members are informed and excited for every event.
• Ensure all questions are answered swiftly and all comments are addressed to foster a strong connection between the committee and its members.
• Expand the society’s identity by collaborating with other societies through cross-promotion.
• Continuously adapt and improve posts to increase both awareness and engagement by reflecting on analytics, meetings and feedback from all members.
