Hi there. My name’s Matthew, and I’m running for the Executive Treasurer role. Over my five years at ICSM, I’ve dedicated my time to improving student experiences, and I want to further my commitment by joining the executive committee of SU.
I’ve loved my time at ICSM and the community that gave me such valuable experiences. Throughout my roles on SU, I’ve worked on running, managing and helping with some of the biggest events in the calendar, including FPR, Circle Line, Fashion Show. I’ve also worked with committees like RAG, HWD, Vision and SurgSoc on events, all of which have improved my managerial and financial skills as well as my comfort with eActivities. These roles have prepared me to guide and support the entire committee in achieving their goals.
During my tenure, I want to focus on a few key areas:
- I want to advocate for all ICSM students with further funding for bursaries and grants focused on improving access to vital experiences.
- As treasurer, I want to empower committee members to act independently and confidently to tackle the issues they face.
- HWD and STFYD are milestone events for ICSM, ensuring they are well-structured and sustainable for future years will be a key focus of mine.
