Hey everyone! I’m Isabella, running to be your treasurer next year!
Let me introduce myself: I’m a first year Biochemistry student, born and raised in the UK. I’m a massive foodie, and if there’s one thing, we all know – food is at the heart of ABACUS (well…food and clubbing of course x).
My goal as Treasurer? I’ll work closely with local restaurants and sponsors to bring you:
- Exclusive discounts at your favourite matcha spots 🍵
- Free food at non-clubbing events 🍣
- Dumpling-making 🥟 and boba-making classes ☕ No one should ever leave an ABACUS event hungry—that’s a promise!
Why ABACUS? ABACUS has been much more than a society – it’s been a family. It has helped me reconnect with my Asian roots whilst building heartwarming friendships and a strong sense of community. From the unforgettable nights out to casual Mahjong sessions to unlimited sushi, I want to continue this legacy for future members to experience.
Why Treasurer? Well, first of all, financial responsibility is in my DNA :) Ask my friends, they’ll tell you I’m practically a walking Monzo Ad - at this point, I should become their ambassador. With my meticulously organised savings pots and strict budgeting skills using Excel, I know how to handle finances efficiently and responsibly. I want to contribute those skills towards ABACUS, a community that has made me feel so welcomed in my first year.
