First Aid: Secretary

At seven, I became the protector of an ant hill on my school playground. The boys in my class thought stomping on the ants was fun. With an overly strong moral compass and just 20 kilograms to my name, I decided to be the “muscle” of the hill.

It backfired horribly.

When the boys came over, they pushed me aside. I lost the battle instantly, tumbled onto the concrete, and scraped my knee.

I was rushed to the school nurse, where my battle wound was bandaged up. She wiped my tears and told me I was brave. She made my day a little better and made sure I felt okay.

Believe it or not, this began my interest in first aid.

I love helping people. The chance to make someone’s day is incredibly fulfilling. As Secretary, I want to be your reliable helper.

I’ll ensure our society runs smoothly and stays connected. I’ll keep members informed with timely emails and WhatsApp messages before each session, along with session summaries so no one misses out.

Beyond organization, I want to strengthen our community, working with the committee to develop social events—including a First Aid pub crawl.

To show some First Aid pride, I’d love to introduce society merch so we can represent the best committee at Imperial in style.

I may not have saved the ant hill, but at least now I can patch up anyone who takes a tumble trying. Let’s build something great—one step (or bandage) at a time.
